Adventures in Internetland

Reading is obviously one of my ultimate hobbies, but I also enjoy trolling the internets and watching all of the weird shit that it has to offer.

Exhibit A:

Art is art of course, but what the actual fuck did I just watch? The guy at 2.06 sent me into a fit of giggles. I've tried to do a few different internet searches to figure out where that lovely pole banging masterpiece originated from, but atlas, I've had no luck.

Exhibit B:

The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that clip was MAD DOG MADDOX, baby! haha. Granted I don't think Travis ever encountered a wanna be break dance at the fight club, but I'm sure he would have done the same damn thing in regards to knocking his lame ass out. Pigeon of course would be there to high five him on the side lines!

Exhibit C:

Grab some tissues folks.

Even though Khal Drogo is a bit of a pedophile in the books, on the TV show Game of Thrones, I fell head over heels in love with BOTH characters. I still shed a tear when I see any of the fan-made videos about what Drogo and Danny had. This is why I love the fictional world! You get so caught up in their lives and struggles that when they hurt, YOU HURT. Some people just don't get it, and think it's ridiculous, but I think it shows how powerful the written word is.

Well folks, that's all I'm sharing today. The house is begging to be cleaned and I have a hot date with this dude you may know, Remy. Mine by Katy Evans has me on the fence right now, but I'll get into that more whenever I finally write up my review.

Hope you have a great week!

Have a Holly Jolly...

Holy freaking crap.
Monsters, we are TWO days away from Christmas....where the actual fuck did the year go?
2013 went by in a hurry and I'm not even sure what's in store for me in 2014 since the Naughty Mafia book signing has been canceled.

I'm hoping that I can find another signing to attend. I just need to sit down with a cold Sundrop and figure out what's going on in the author world next year.

Next year.
There are a lot of grand possibilities opening up for me next year.

The most important one being that I'll be applying for nursing school.

I'm also toying around with the idea of self publishing a novel that I've been working on over the past few months. I don't know how Indie Authors do it though haha it's a terrifying process and I find myself stalling out because I'm scared to get one step closer to the big "publish" button.

Part of me wishes that I could be the next Colleen Hoover or Kristen Ashley, but the other part of me is keeping my ass in check! Those women are on a whole.notha.level and there are SO many amazing authors out there! I applaud them for sharing their stories with the world. My personal story may not ever see the light of day, but I'm going to finish it in 2014 and pat myself on the back for accomplishing one more thing on my bucket list.

Every year I make a point to write out my hopes and goals for the forthcoming year, and this year I'll be sharing a snippet from my Untiled novel to give people an idea of what its going to be about! I'm excited and terrified to share my writing with you Monsters, but hey that's  life right?

As far as reviewing goes, I obviously suck ass at keeping up with my post. I'm currently finishing up the last installment in Athena Romig's Consequences series. Which is kind of funny because the first book was a DNF for me because I could NOT get down with Tony. Nope. I still hate him, but now after re-reading the first book and devouring the second one, I'm starting to see why some people feel that he has redeemed himself. Even though I still think he's a rat bastard ;)

Well my lovely creations, I have presents that need to be wrapped and episodes of Orange is the New Black to watch, so I hope that you have a lovely holiday and you enjoy every moment with your loved ones!

Where in the world is Carmen San...um Bindi?

Anyone else remember that game? I used to love it!
Although I'm not sure if they ever really found her haha
Anyways
Yes my little monsters, I'm still here and I'm still reading, but unfortunately I haven't been able to sit down and share my ramblings with the masses because college has been royally kicking my ass.
But guess what....
I just took my last final and I have three whole glorious weeks to dedicate to editing a few novels and babying the shit out of this blog!
I've missed it--terribly so.
I'm hoping that the Spring semester will move at a smoother pace and I'll be able to balance out blogging a few times a week along with completing the various assignments that I'll have through out the grueling five months of BIO 275, ENG 112, HUM 115, and PSY 251.
I originally planned on taking two courses next semester, but due to the nursing program changing the program requirements every other year, I had an additional two courses added on to my plate. It sucks. It sucks so damn bad, but hey, at least I'll have all of my core classes completed by the time I begin my nursing courses!
Well if I get into the program that is...I have to schedule my TEAs test this week and then I begin the long wait until March to see if I can continue on the path of becoming a Certified Nurse-Midwife!
So yeah!
That's what I've been up to for the past few weeks.
Tomorrow I'll be kicking off my "Bindi's return to the book blogging world" with an awesome review of Avoiding Temptation by K.A. Linde.

50 Shades of AWESOME.

Like most of you have heard, E.L. James tweeted out the news that we (the readers of the world) finally have our Anastasia Steele and Christen Grey.

From what I'm seeing, A LOT of people are pissed off over this, but like I've been telling my friends: Charlie Hunnam is what is going to make me show up to the jam packed estrogen filled theater and sit through two hours of shit, because he's Charlie fucking Hunnam.
Have I read the books? YES
Actually even better, I read the original Twilight fanficiton as the author was publishing it chapter by chapter on fanfiction.net and a site called Twilighted. Which is why when the actual PUBLISHED book came out, I couldn't figure out why in the fuck someone would gank another author's character and then publish it for personal gain. I mean really? Plus it didn't help that everyone and their fucking mother kept asking me:
"OHMAHGAH have you read 50?"
"OHMAHGAH it's so kinky! I felt so dirty reading it!"
"OHMAHGAH Christen Grey is the sexiest Alpha Male EVAR!"   <.< no fucking way. Nope.
Anyways...
While everyone is falling in love with 50 for the first time, I'm over here remembering shit like this:
 And this:

Oh let's not forget this:
And one more for the road.
You see, this fanficiton had a MAJOR following. The dirty little birdies loved their even dirtier worms, and after reading the published/mass market version of Master of the Universe/50 Shades. I just had to shake my damn head. It's fucking Edward and Bella fanficiton, still. Other people don't see it, but I do and this is my view point. So I never really jumped on to the 50 Shade bandwagon or gave a rats ass about the movie until now.
I don't give a fuck that Christen Grey is going to the big screen, but I sure as hell want to see Charlie Hunnam in a "Dom" role.
Fuck yes.
Take my $12 and let me see that man's ass
AT LEAST 50 times in the fucking movie
and I'll die happy.
Because the truth of the matter is, it doesn't matter who they cast to portray the parts, the movie will still be shit. It's already been said that there won't be nearly as much "kink" as depicted in the books on the silver screen.
I don't even think it'll be rated R. lol
Plus movies that are based off of books NEVER out shine the book.
Let's call it a fact of life.
I'm not going to the theater to watch 50 Shades of Grey and have a life experience.
I'm going to get my rocks off and add a few much needed images to my spank bank, while acting like a total sexist pig because fuck...
IT'S CHARLIE HUNNAM DOM STYLE!
My brain just can't handle it dude.
Really it can't.
I never once thought I'd be excited for this movie to come out, but now I'm sitting here stoked out and typing all of my feels about how giddy I am over this shit!
I should probably mention somewhere in here that I think Charlie is not only one of the hottest males on the planet, but he's also a really good actor. I hope this role doesn't put a damper on his career, but instead shoots him off into movie stardom because dude really does deserves it.
Soooo yeah. I guess the rioting will last a few more days...maybe weeks, before everyone settles down and stalks the progress of the movie.
I think that it's due to be out in 2014, but I'm honestly not sure what the actual date will be.
And while I know that some people truly are pissed off over this, relax man. It's just a movie. Give this guy a chance and maybe, JUST MAYBE, you'll be surprised.

-B

Oh and one last thing, I didn't mention the girl that was cast as Ana because I know nothing about her. I just pray to god that there is NO mention of an inner fucking goddess in the entire movie. I don't know if I'll be able to stomach that shit.
I'd also like to add that IDGAF if someone takes their Twilight fanfciton and reworks it to publish it as a different story AWAY from the Twilight fanfiction world. Go for it bro! Honestly, my number one issue with the 50 Trilogy, was that they were being charged at $9.99 for EACH ebook.
That's a fucking rip off and a half.

Never fear

I'm still here.

Vegas was amazing and I'll have a full detailed post about that experience up in a few days.
Things have been quiet around here because I've just started my fall semester of school AND I'm going to be working with one of my friends on a better blogger template.

Somethings that are coming up within the next week on here are:

1. Review of Whiskey Lullaby by Dawn Martens and Emily Minton

2. Review of Derek by Dawn Martens

3. Review of Own the Wind by Kristen Ashley

4. Review of Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley

5. My Vegas Experience

and last, but not least...a snippet about the book that I've been working for the past few months.
(Which is a really big deal for me because I've only let three other people read any parts of it. lol)

Hopefully when I get my school work schedule down pat, I'll be able to read more and be more involved with the blogging community. I'm starting to learn that it takes hard work and a shit load of dedication to keep one of these bad boys up and running!

So this chick has some serious work cut out for her!
Til next time!

Four More Days til...

That's right!
I'm going to VEGAS BABY!
Which means that in less than 120 hours I will be in the presence of
Kristen Ashley
Madeline Sheehan
and some other KICK ASS AUTHORS!!!
The only issues I have is that I need to pack.
Yup.
My flight leaves early Thursday morning
and
I've yet to pack.
I fucking hate packing.
One minute I know what I want to wear and the next
I'm freaking out because I don't know what to wear.
It's a vicious cycle.
Which means I'll wait until the last possible minute to pack
and look a hot mess in Vegas.
OH and I also need to finishing looking over my friends book.
I've been trying to get back to her asap, but
life just keeps getting in the way.
So yeah. I guess I should do that now instead
of trolling the Naughty Mafia FB Group.

Reading is My Therapy.

I'm currently trying to survive the second to last week of my CNA course.
Right now we're finishing up our clinical period and today was one of those days that you feel like the world is on your shoulders. I'm not allowed to say much about it because, as students, we are required to sign confidentiality agreements and we're not allowed to talk about the things we do or see, but man today was just heavy.
I knew as soon as I walked out of the building and stumbled to my car (my feet are SO damn sore today for some reason) that I would need some book therapy tonight after my kids go to bed.

This is one of the reasons I'm passionate about reading. It's my go to remedy for a really crappy day and can almost always help me put things into perspective.

For example:

Hey self, at least you don't have a psycho inner goddess that you constantly refer back to when you're incapable of using other euphemisms to say
"Hey you guyz, I'm really fucking horny and this sex is AH-MAY-ZING."
(50 Shades.)

Or how about...
You think your day was bad? How about the fact that you just found a big ass chicken named Beyonce at your front door.

If you haven't read this awesome little tale of getting a lot of chicken for less than half the price...then what are you waiting for? Just click the picture and be ammmazzeed!
Anyways.
Life is crazy stressful at the moment, but I'm fixing to get lost in Derek by Dawn Martens.
So peace out home fries and I'll talk to you soon.

Season 3 is Coming!!!

I've always had a soft spot for all things witchy!
I remember when I was 14 my mom found a little 5 Star notebook that I had dubbed:
 "My Book of Shadows."
I mostly talked about wanting to plant a herb garden and may have mentioned a few wicked things...i.e. thoughts about life and wondering what else is out there (sooo totally not wicked, but hey, I grew up in a Southern Baptist household.) Let's just say mama wasn't pleased at what she read, and my pseudo-Book of Shadows was thrown into the closest garbage bin as I received a pretty heavy verbal lashing.
Mom, if you by chance read this I never looked into anything Wiccan EVER again.
.....
...........
......
Ok maybe I watched The Craft a million times

and was a devoted follower of Sabrina the Teenage Witch

(TGIF show AND the Saturday Morning Cartoon).

I also may or may not have received a starter witch kit
from my kick ass Step Mom
and
my very own deck of tarot cards...
....possibly a bag of runes....
Yeah.
ANYWAYS, back to 2013.
American Horror Story just released a 17 second preview of this seasons plot line:
Witches
in
NEW ORLEANS!!!!!
Stick a fork in me because I am DONE.
I love the hoodoo voodoo stories from the Bayou and I can't wait to see what the creators of AHS have in store for us this season.
I've read that my crush Evan Peters will be back for his third consecutive season, so that's just icing on the cake!

How about you?
Ever had a hankering to turn that cheating ex-boyfriend into an ugly toad?
Do you watch American Horror Story?

HELLLLLOOO WORLLDDD

The name is Brandi.

Normally I troll GoodReads with my random reviews, but since Photobucket is a cock blocking bitch in the bandwidth department...I've decided to bring my craziness to my own little nook in the blogasphere.<= or however the hell you spell that.

Blogging isn't new for me, but lezzbe be honest:

I fucking suck at it.

Yes.

It's true.

I fail at blogging.

Yet here I am again...attempting to share my crazy ideas and a touch of insanity with the poor unfortunate souls who accidentally stumble across this POS.

If there's anything in life that you have to know about me it would be:

Blogs and Sundrop are the two bitches that I try to give up, but I always come back too.

It's a vicious cycle and I'm pretty sure there will never be a cure.

So if you want to hang around and get in touch with your inner crazy: Welcome Aboard!

If not, that's cool too...I guess >.>

Actually it's not.

So GTFO!

I kid I kid.

Hang tight loves! It's going to be a wild ride!

;) xoxo
